本日は夏期講座の最終日でした。みなさんの３日間のがんばりは、きっと大きな力となって発揮されることでしょう！ドラマのクラスでは、たった３日間でしたが、発表できるまでに成長しました。中学１年生はこの４月から英語を始めたばかりですが、それを感じさせない流暢さ。すばらしいですね！

登場人物になりきって、上手に演技することができました。The cold never bothered me anyway!

Self-defenseのクラスでも、３日間の成果が見られました。頭ではなく、体全体で英語を吸収！もうばっちりでした！

 

今年の夏期講座は終了ですが、これからも引き続き英語を使っていきましょうね♪

Junior High School Drama - Frozen

The Junior High School production of Frozen was a great success! The students worked very hard to study an original script they had never seen before. They were asked to read the entire play, then decide who would take each role, then learn their roles and actions, snd decide how to set up scenes in only two days. In addition, the girls prepared their own costumes and learned how to become their characters.

In only two hours, they learned how to read, understand, set up, and perform a six scene play entirely, in English. Their final rehearsal and opening performance took place only four hours after the first time they read the play. Congratulations on an amazing achievement, and for doing such a wonderful job!

 

Harry Potter was a great challenge, and our Senior High School girls did a wonderful job of meeting that challenge. The Senior High students proved that they can do anything with a can-do attitude, and lots of hard work. The girls performed the play after only two days of practice; the seven scene, twenty-eight page play was delivered after only three hours of cold reading, and one hour of costume and props making. The play was entirely in English, with no translations, and direction was given English only.  Our Senior High School Summer Drama girls should be proud of what they accomplished in such a short amount of time. They did a fine job of bringing each character to life, and making the audience feel like they were in Harry Potter’s world.
