■ I experienced several brand new things through “one day Ryugaku” because everything in AOBA is completely different from Bunkyo. For example, class periods at Bunkyo are 50 minutes, but at AOBA, each class is 40 minutes. Also they use PCs, and make their presentations and do other work. They also make groups during classes, and discussing thins, such as their assignments. In addition, there’s also a break time, for students to eat food and enjoy talking with friends. Everything there was a cultural shock for me, but I found it very interesting. It was a great experience.(高校1年生)
■ It was one of the greatest experiences of my school life so far. I met many different students from other countries. Everyone was super kind, they showed us visiting Aoba’s campus and introduced the various classrooms to us. Each class we were in was full of fun too. The first class we had was LHR, which was similar to ours, but it was all in English. The second and third classes were English; students searched for their favorite books online and made a poster including both introduction of this book and the reason why they recommend it. After third period, we got a short break time. We went to another floor to have some snacks. Then, we went back to fourth period. Students were divided into several groups to discuss and share information they got online with each other. They changed groups many times to make sure that they had communicated with everyone. Next, it was lunch time. It was my favorite part. Other girls and I sat around a table. We talked a lot about things like differences between Aoba and Bunkyo, differences between different countries and so on. Fifth period was math, it was my first time drawing graphs using tablets. I learned so many new words in math which I didn’t know before. That’s everything I did in Aoba. It was such a great experience, I made new friends and experienced a completely different school life. I hope I can go to Aoba again and meet my new friends again!!!!(高校2年生)
